CFP: Issue 13 of the Journal of the Journal of the Text Encoding Initiative: 2018 Conference Issue

The Journal of the Text Encoding Initiative (JTEI, is now soliciting contributions for its 2018 Conference Issue. The submission deadline is 1 June 2019. 

We invite all presenters from the 2018 Conference in Tokyo to submit articles based on their presentations through the submission process on

The journal accepts two types of papers that are most relevant to conference presentations:

  • Research papers (about 5,000 to 7,000 words): Research papers document conceptual, theoretical, exploratory, and innovative work and include the apparatus one expects in a scholarly research paper: scholarly citations, footnotes, appropriate bibliography, etc.
  • Project / Tool Notes (about 2,000 to 4,000 words): Project/Tool notes are descriptive reports that detail the accomplishments and contributions of a particular project, tool, encoding method, etc.
