Issue 15 — Papers from the 2021 TEI Conference — ‘Next Gen TEI’

The Journal of the Text Encoding Initiative (JTEI) is the official peer-reviewed, open-access journal of the Text Encoding Initiative Consortium. The objectives of the journal are to disseminate as widely as possible information about the TEI and its applications to scholarship. The Journal of the Text Encoding Initiative publishes state-of-the-art reports on electronic textual editing, current trends in TEI encoding, and new use cases for TEI. It provides a forum for articles on the discussion of the interface between the TEI and other communities, and more generally of the role of technological standards in the digital humanities.

JTEI is now inviting articles for Issue 15, based on any papers given at the 2021 TEI conference and members meeting. Its theme was ‘Next Gen TEI,’ and the articles should fit the conference theme. Articles can take the form of Research Papers, Project/Tool Notes, or Datasets (more info on each of these categories on our author guidelines). Exceptionally, this issue will not feature any guest editors and will be entirely managed by the JTEI’s managing editor team. Deadline for submission is Wednesday, 30 March 2022.

Submissions are made through our OJS portal. If you don’t already have an account, you will need to register for one.

If your paper doesn’t fit the call or you cannot submit it within the deadline, you are also welcome to submit it to our rolling issue at any point.
